Will there still be a shortage of containers in 2022? Will the price of new containers rise? These are two concerning questions for international traders and they are dependent on the fundamentals of container manufacturing industry. Generally speaking, there are three core factors that affect the container manufacturing. The first factor is related to the demand for containers. Currently, the demand is still on a high level. The second one is the financial status of container shipping companies. The last but not least one is dependent on whether “black swan incidents”, such as the 9/11 terrorist attack in 2001, will happen or not.
