Why it is hard to book a container

2021-10-18 11:07:58
Affected by port congestion and the N-COV19, containers loaded with goods arrived at overseas ports, however, these containers can't filled with enough goods in time and were blocked in the ports, causes containers "go and never come back" and the distribution of empty containers was very uneven. The Los Angeles and Long Beach port, for example, imports are inceasing up to more than 50 percent, but exports are shrinking, 20 percent at the port of Los Angeles and about 5 percent at the port of Long Beach, so a lot of empty containers are not coming back.

In addition, after the N-COV19 was effectively controlled, China's exports increased and the demand for containers also increased, which led to the rising price of containers and the situation of "it is hard to get a case".  The vast majority of the world's containers are produced in China, even though China's own demand for them is still unmet.
