2021-09-23 09:22:14
In our daily life, every morning we will first brush teeth and wash face, but many people ignore an important thing, that is the overnight water in the pipe. The overnight water in the faucet had better not be taken directly for washing and gargling, even if it is boiled for drink is also no good! The normal situation is when we get up in the morning we open faucet and let water go for about 1 minutes before use, we can gather the overnight water to flush the toilet, water flowers, wash the floor and so on. So why can't overnight water be used directly?
1. Overnight water can harbor pneumonia-causing Legionella bacteria
Legionella pneumonia is the most severe form of ATYPICAL pneumonia, with a case fatality rate of up to 45%. According to the study, Legionella bacteria can be isolated from water pipes in lakes, hotels, hospitals and homes, so it is most likely to be present in overnight water, which is more likely to cause legionella pneumonia if it consumed overnight.
2, long-term drinking overnight water may cause lead poisoning
The water in the water supply pipe and the metal in the faucet or water pipe will have chemical reaction, forming the metal polluted water, and the microorganism in the overnight water will also produce harmful substances to human body after a night of reproduction. If the faucet used is inferior, it is more likely to cause the lead content in the water to exceed the standard.
It is well known that excessive lead entering the body can damage the nerve tissue of the brain, causing insufficient oxygen supply and brain tissue damage, which can lead to anemia, headaches, sleepiness and other symptoms. What's more, the children or pregnant woman drink this water can cause irreversible damage to a minor child, including delayed development, malformation and premature birth.
So, when we get up every day to use the faucet, it is best to open the faucet and put water for 1 minute, clean up the overnight water, and keep the overnight water in the water barrel, so as not to waste resources.
